WHICH NECKLINE DO YOU PREFER FOR A WEDDING DRESS?

V-neck – Sweetheart – High – Strapless or Boat?

Would you like a wedding dress with a deep V-neck, romantic heart-shaped dress, elegant strapless neckline or high-cut neckline? The search for the wedding dress of your dreams usually starts with a silhouette but the neckline is also of high importance.

We’re ready to help you to pick up a perfect wedding dress. You can choose from round neckline (or boat neckline), sweetheart neckline, strapless, off the shoulder, V-neck or deep V-neck, Queen Anne or high neckline.

A sweetheart neckline is romantic and popular. A very common neckline among our brides! This neckline lengthens the neck. The sweetheart neckline can be found in many our collections.

A strapless wedding dress will highlight your collarbone and neck, as well as accentuate your waist. We offer a variety of strapless designs. The strapless dress is the perfect dress for brides with a fuller bust, especially the sweetheart line. Strapless straight neckline is great for brides with smaller bust.

Off Shoulder Neckline

The off shoulder neckline is very delicate and romantic. This style accentuates the shoulders and collarbones. This line is great for brides with narrow shoulders. When trying on, make sure you have enough room to move (and dance) in this dress.

The classic V-neck has been popular among brides for many years. This line is less suitable for brides with a small bust as it draws attention to the neckline and makes you look taller. But such dresses are very sexy and feminine!

A wedding dress with a boat neckline (round neckline) is the perfect dress for a romantic bride with narrow shoulders and a small bust. The boat neckline wider shoulders visually. Such dresses wore Audrey Hepburn, and recently Meghan Markle.

High Neck Wedding Dresses

A high-neck wedding dress will accentuate your arms and chest for an elegant and sophisticated look. This look is great for brides with a long neck. In our collections, you will find several variations of this neckline, including a high line with playful sheer lace that covers your skin while showing off your beautiful neckline.

Queen Anne neckline

14

This neckline is slightly less known as a sweetheart neckline or strapless neckline, but it is becoming more and more popular. The Queen Anne neckline usually has a heart-shaped neckline with short sleeves or shoulder straps.

Wedding Dresses with straps

For brides who do not like strapless wedding dresses but do not want to wear a long sleeved wedding dress, a strapless dress is the perfect answer. Straps are a neat way to add sophistication to your wedding dress, and on a practical level, they mean your wedding dress won’t fall off no matter how hard you hit the dance floor.

THE TOP BRIDAL TRENDS FOR 2021

As usual, many new trends have appeared this season. Some weren’t new, for instance, classic silhouettes, others were unexpected and new. From large bows to modest dresses with bare backs and ribbons adorned shoulders. This season’s collection of wedding dress trends reflects the current climate (the minimalism associated with micro weddings and the flexibility), offering us a truly stylish experience.

FASHIONISTA singled out the top bridal trends for Fall 2021:

  1. FANTASTICAL BALLGOWNS

Japanese fashion designer Tomo Koizumi worked with retailer Treat Maison to create a capsule of fantastic ballgowns. Galia Lahav takes inspiration from world famous ballerinas to create dimensional tutu layers. Halfpenny London illustrates its out-of-this-world theme with a space cage applique dress. In addition, the ultra-glamorous Los Angeles-based Kynah’s bridal collection features wonderful embroidery and flowing ball gown skirts for South Asian weddings.

  1. STREAMLINED GLAMOUR

Minimalism became strong over the course of several wedding seasons (probably also thanks to Meghan Markle). But streamlined options make sense right now, especially for mini weddings, social distance outdoor ceremonies, and post-wedding celebrations. But clean doesn’t mean simple. Rather, expect to see sumptuous fabrics (charmeuse silk, crepe and mikado) and intricate details such as the curved low waistline and perfect pleats from Valentine Avoh, the sophisticated 3D Savanna Miller’s beading and sculpted mermaid silhouette and deep V-neck from Amsale.

  1. ROMANTIC JOURNEYS

Miller studies the British medieval mythology of Lady of the Lake. Los Angeles-based company Odylyne the Ceremony is redefining films such as Dracula and Crimson Peak to create their classy Gothic Vampira collection. Valentin Avoh guides Old Hollywood through Sunset Boulevard. France, meanwhile, remains a popular source of design inspiration: Gracy Acaad travels to Versailles, Marchesa studies 17th century French design philosophy, and BHLDN travels to Paris.

  1. FAIRY TALE FLORALS

Nature motifs thrive in 2021 collections. Naeem Khan, Mira Zwillinger turns to fairy tales for their dresses, and Eisen-Stein, Elie Saab and Alexandra Greco interpret fabulous flowers and gardens.

  1. WEATHER-PROOF LAYERING

Bridal layering options provide garment protection in the unpredictable 2021 planning landscape. A removable shrug at Eisen-Stein or a Victorian lace crop top at Elizabeth Fillmore adds a flair  plus helps to adapt to a cooler wedding date. Of course, a cape adds warmth and drama, especially if covered with embroidery, embellishments and layers of tulle.01A look from the Elizabeth Fillmore Fall 2021 collection

  1. EXAGGERATED PUFF SLEEVES

Puffy sleeves from past seasons will become even more oversized for fall 2021. Designers love playing with size, shape and length.

  1. DREAMY CAP SLEEVES

The classic, barely noticeable cap sleeve takes on all the shapes of fall 2021 with delicate lace, flowing sheer organza and lush floral appliqués.

  1. UNEXPECTED ASYMMETRY

Fashion is a reflection of our time, so the prevalence of intricate, complex asymmetries in future collections is clearly traced. Designers creatively embody aesthetics with stunning bias draperies, mesmerizing variations on the one-shoulder silhouette, and even the oversize bow placed askew at Rita Vinieris’ Rivini.

  1. 2000 NOSTALGIA

Style markers from the late 90s and early 2000s have moved from international runways to wedding aisles. Feel nostalgia through the details: handkerchief tops (and hemlines) at Ines di Santo and BHLDN, apron dresses at Jenny by Jenny Yoo and Alexandra Grecco, backless halters at Temperley London and square necklines at Justin Alexander Signature and Woná Concept.

  1. AFTER-PARTY IN THE FRONT, CEREMONY IN THE BACK

The high-waisted bridal gown is a compromise between a ball gown and a flirty mini. Highlights for Fall 2021 include a deconstructed lace-trimmed design by Danielle Frankel and Viktor & Rolf Mariage’s stunning Marguerite rosette embellished cathedral train. Removable skirts such as those of Vivienne Westwood and Galia Lahav also fit together.

  1. UPDATED WEDDING TROUSERS

Jumpsuits and pant suits are still the staple of a wedding, but styles offer more inspirational detail and versatility this season. Kosibah and Danielle Frankel transform the pant suit into pajama silhouettes, while Naeem Khan adds a structured skirt to her jumpsuit.

  1. ALL THE LITTLE WHITE DRESSES

In fall 2021, a mini wedding dress looks especially festive, especially as a standalone look for an alternative to a big day. Complementary embellishments such as bows, glittery fringes, feathers, dramatic embellishments or rows of ruffles will accentuate, whether in a personal wedding or a virtual Zoom ceremony.
